For our September FSD. we took a route known for its natural beauty around the country. It was so beautiful that the old section of US 40 was kept while I-80 was completed in the early 60s.
We passed the Maiden's Grave on CA 20, the grave of a little girl who died of disease when her wagon train was near its destination.
Lunch was at one of our many Gold Rush Towns, Truckee. The inclement weather did not bother us.
