First Sunday Drive for October

The October First Sunday Drive will be led by Don from the Sacramento Valley SLK Enthusiasts club and will take us from Auburn to El Dorado Hills. This is a beautiful 60 minute trip on Highway 49 and Salmon Falls Road. This is one of our shorter trips, so it’s perfect for those that have never joined us before. This is open to all Mercedes-Benz owners, and you do not have to be a member to participate.

We will meet at 9:30 am on Sunday, October 4, 2020 at Raley’s located at 13384 Lincoln Way, Auburn, CA 95603.

We will depart at 10:00 am sharp. Everyone should bring their own ink pen to sign the disclaimer form, as none will be provided at the meet. If you won’t wear a mask please do not join us for this drive. This should be a very scenic, windy drive. Once we arrive at Town Center, we ask that you park in the Regal Theatre parking lot across from Mercedes-Benz of El Dorado Hills so that we can take some photos and everyone can check out each others cars, keeping socially distanced. If you cannot make the drive from Auburn, feel free to show up for the car display.

There are a lot of nice dining choices at Town Center in El Dorado Hills, as well as a farmer's market. Dine at your own choice of a restaurant. There will be a farmer’s market in progress, and there is ample room next to a manmade lake to picnic. No group lunch is planned due to COVID.

Trip Route: After leaving the Raley’s shopping center, turn left on Lincoln Way. We will then turn left at the first red light onto Foresthill Road. We will travel about 15 miles then turn right onto Old Foresthill Road. We will then turn left at the American River Bridge heading South on Highway 49. When we reach the town of Cool we will turn right on Highway 49 South and after 5-10 miles turn right onto Salmon Falls Cutoff road & hang a quick left onto Salmon Falls Road which will run into El Dorado Hills Blvd & we will follow that past US Highway 50 to El Dorado Hills Town Center & turn left into the shopping Center. See detailed map of Town Center for where we will meet after the drive.

Restaurants include Aji Japanese Bistro, Boulevard 41 Wood Fired Pizza, Brickyard Grille, Chando’s Mexican Cantina, The Mimosa House, Milestone Restaurants, Rubio’s, Selland’s, Sushi Kuma and Thai Paradise.
